Have you fired Blazer ammunition? How did it perform for you? Share your answers in the comment section. I have fired almost ,oops rounds of Blazer 9mm aluminum case bullets in my Ruger American and have to say I have not had a flaw ,keep my pistol clean at all times when I can helps a great deal also. I have used Blazer aluminum in my AR carbine, but because of the tight tolerances in the chamber, I had many failures to eject and a stuck case that required the services of a gunsmith to remove.

After that experience, I shoot only brass. Other than the mis-spelling I made 2 mistakes. First I typed this on my phone. It looks like you also deleted all the Store names with the exception of of CTD.

A little insecure are we? Not necessarily directed toward you personally. I shoot more Blazer than any other type of ammo, by far. But it is the brass, not aluminum case. The aluminum is harder for me to find, and when I do find it, it costs more than the brass. An example, right now I could order the aluminum from CTD for 26 cents per round.

I can also walk into a local store and purchase it for about the same. Another store has the Brass for 16 cents per round, for any grain you want. Lawman, my 2nd most used ammo, is the same price. If I could find the aluminum cheaper than the Brass, I would buy it. Which brings me to a question I have. Have you ever tried to compare them? If so, what are your thoughts? One more thing. I do think they are slightly underpowered when compared to the Gold Dots that I shoot.

By happenstance, I fired some very old blazer ammo in 38 special today. It was fired in a gun made in , the same year Blazer ammo hit the market.

I am not sure when I bought it, but markings on the box showed it to be market clearance from a store that went out of business around I have no idea why I have not fired it, but it seems to have just fallen into the back of my ammo cabinet. So, it is around 35 years old or so, and no issues. I have fired blazer in 9mm, 38, , 44 spec and 45 acp for decades and never a problem. I have their snake shot in 22, 22 mag, 9mm, 40 SW, 44 spec, 45 acp, and 45 Colt.

Blazer is CCI's aluminum-cased line of ammunition that was first introduced to the market in In , CCI introduced its first centerfire cartridge with the 38 Special gr LRN bullet and since that time they have continued to build out the line with a full offering of affordable range ammo. Blazer should be distinguished from CCI's brass-cased centerfire handgun ammunition line, Blazer Brass which came into existence after the firth of the Blazer aluminum-cased line. Blazer ammo features non-reloadable aluminum cartridge cases which are ideally suited for shooters who do not wish to reload their cartridge cases and are looking for a reliable cartridge at a lower cost than traditional brass-cased ammo.

Blazer's cartridge cases are made with high-end aircraft grade aluminum that is heat treated to form the cartridge case in their ISO certified facility. All Blazer cartridges are loaded with the same bullets that the highly regarded Speer Lawman ammunition is loaded with.

I like to shoot aluminum cased ammo at outdoor ranges where policing your casings is more difficult. Good performance, no failures. Good quality, affordable full metal jacket. I really like the price on these Blazer aluminum cartridges. Been hand loading and messing with loads for the model Took it out today and used these as a cheaper round and just in case I lost cases.

Would love to try a deer. I buy nothing but Blazer and Federal aluminum in. Quality ammo at a decent price and weighs noticeably less in bulk. This Ammo is by far the worst I've ever experienced.

In every 5 round cylinder my revolver has cycled, two rounds will fire. At that point the remaining three have worked their projectile forward out of the case so far the cylinder cannot advance and the weapon is rendered useless.

Blazer is absolutely unwilling to exchange the Ammo and asserts my weapon is defective. I've shot 10 different Ammo types specifically to test for any chance of that and never found a problem except for this trash Blazer Ammo. Stay away unless you want to load just one round at a time.

Come to think of it this Ammo is good for one thing, Russian Roulette.
